"I recently purchased a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon DC turntable from you, and I am really impressed with the level of detail and customer service I’ve received so far. The instruction folder is a great touch, and your excellent site gave me tons of info and insight into buying and setting up the turntable. Bravo!" - P. Cuffari
"Wow. I just got the turntable. It is amazing. I love the bags, I love the fact that I got it literally less than 24 hours after ordering, I love the cartoon easy set up pics, the stickers, record cleaner brush, and the sound is great for the money. SOOO Happy!! Thanks guys and gals--you just created a customer for life."- R. Montgomery
"I love the Turntable Lab, great service & great products. There's no other store or site I'd rather buy my gear from. I'll sure keep on purchasing my equipment from TTL."- D. Martinez
"It's always nice to feel like you're appreciated, and you guys have done a great job with that."- R. Abeel
"Turntable lab constantly deliver the best and most current selection of modern music on all formats. It's my first stop for vinyl house and disco music. The reviews are accurate and I can trust the buyers to source quality product. Customer service is second to none and Bret has been nothing short of outstanding in every interaction we've ever had. Proud to be a Labhead." - G. Laurie
"First off I just want to thank you and your team for everything you do! The equipment and products you sell are awesome and exactly what artists like me need. I remember when I first discovered Turntable Lab by searching online for DJ equipment. I was looking all over for different equipment that I needed and when I found TTL I was relieved to find out that you guys basically had everything I was looking for." - C. Arroyo
"My Rane mixer arrived safely yesterday. I just wanted to say thanks to you and your team for your speedy response to my initial enquiry and efficient delivery. Great price and great service, I'll definitely be telling my friends about it." - A. McConnell (Marrickville, Australia)

Jan Jelinek’s debut LP under his government name (Personal_Rock, his 1999 full-length as Gramm, is also worth seeking out) is constructed entirely out of samples from old jazz records. While most might take that mission statement as an excuse to make loopy filter house, Jelinek’s metallurgic approach extracts grooves at a molecular level and reconstructs them; properly stripped-down techno in finest 2001 style. It’s an idealistic departure from the prevailing minimal techno sound of the new millennium, borne from the banality and existential pointlessness of Clicks & Cuts-style electronic music. We love Jelinek's Dieter Rams-esque doctrine: “Loop-finding-jazz-records follows one certain production idea. This probably made it successful. All the pieces are like well-designed objects: no random, accidental moments, all focused on a harmony. This makes it enjoyable as functional music—music to work to, write emails to, etc.” Towards the end of “Moire - Piano & Organ,” you can almost make out the transients of a vibraphone ringing out, before “Rock In The Video Age” washes up on the shore and you lose the plot entirely. “Tendency” is the lone joint I could see slipping into an afterhours set, but the rest of it is pure headphone business for planes, trains & automobiles - in the best possible way, like a faceless / wordless Vespertine. “Drift,” “They, Them” and “Do Dekor” are delectably crunchy microhouse snacks, but best to listen from start to finish. 2017 2LP reissue on Jelinek’s own Faitiche imprint, includes download code. Recommended.
