  • Riot Grrrl essential remastered and reissued. Sleater Kinney's third album is often viewed as the one that really put them on the map for those in the know and those that wanted to be. Putting feminism at the forefront, the band used their wide spread voice to empower young women (and men). Dig Me Out is considered a bit 'rockier' than their previous but the bottom line is, you can't have twist without the shout and the three offered everything you would want from a punk rock band... a disdain for the mainstream, 3 chord limit (for the most part), and intelligence. Hate to be the old record store clerk on this one, but they don't make em like they used to. Recommended
