The Harlem MC's mix of influences from outside of New York, particularly the production style of the Houston scene, ushered in an era of post regional hip hop. Rocky even acknowledges this on the opening track "Palace" with the line, "Influenced by Houston / you can hear it in my music." Production from A$AP Ty Beats, SpaceGhostPurrp, and Clams Casino features prominently with the latter's woozy soundscapes lending a distinct feel to the recording. Upon it's release Live. Love. topped many critics' year end lists, which makes this vinyl release seem long overdue.
