  • Andrew Wilson's debut under the Andras moniker is a pleasant rush, one that "cultivates melodic drama and tenderness, memorable hooks, and rapturous arpeggios." '70s acid folk and '90s dance music—Wison recognized this "different synchronicity" in his vinyl record upon returning from touring, finding the likes of Ian Van Dahl, John Fahey, William Orbit, and Shira Small all nestled next to each other. The harmony he was able to draw out from such bunch became the foundation of Joyful, as Wilson uses the lyrics, samples, and note progressions from folk songs and reinterprets them within the dance music framework. Expect "joyful aspirations and the shadows of faded dreams." Standouts include: "Poppy," "Goggles," "Honeybird" and "River Red." all proceeds will benefit the Invasive Species Council on the recommendation of Tim Low, author of the books Feral Future and Where Song Began.
