Anyone familiar with Smith's work with Smith & Mudd should already know he is an expert in chilled-out balearic grooves, and here he lends his soft touch to stone cold classics from Mos Def & the Pharcyde. Somehow Smith is able to extrude the deep, soulful vibes from the core of the originals and translate them into stunning balearic folk ballads. Check the samples - you've never heard "Umi Says" and "Runnin" quite like this before! Recommended.
