When Buckshot, 5ft & DJ Evil Dee dropped Enta The Stage in October of 1993, the nation was still drunk off of the laid back g-funk sound of Dr. Dre’s The Chronic. Enta Da Stage marked an important shift back to the gritty sound of the east coast and laid the groundwork for subsequent N.Y. classics such as Enter The Wu-Tang, Illmatic & The Infamous. This boxset is the ultimate edition, comprised of 3 double LP sets: the originals, the instrumentals and a third set that collects rarities, freestyles and beloved remixes from the group’s 12” singles on Nervous and Wreck Records, plus an illustrated booklet containing interviews and unseen photos from the album cover's photoshoot. A one-stop shop for BK block party rockers, stoop freestyle sessions and Boot Camp Clik completists. Recommended.
