Another in demand repress from the Warp crew! Boards fourth full length album released with no pre-hype, very typical of this low key Scottish duo. The Campfire Headphase continues the developments of 2002's Geogaddi, where the focus shifted from beats & angles to melodies & rounded corners. The beats of old BOC releases are still there, it just seems they are more integrated to the other parts of the tracks. Although I like it when the beats oppose the rest of the song, this approach results in more of that polished "professional" sound, which seems to be the natural progression of our favorite downtempo producers. This album is closer in line to counterparts like Air. Both acts have obviously mastered the art of studio track making, with the results being slick, but not too slick. 15 tracks.
