Now Shipping! Debut full length from the UK's Broadcast. The Noise Made By People came after the band spent nearly three years in the studio. It was time well spent, as they built on the sounds and textures they explored in their earlier singles. Their unique brand of experimental pop was further developed, flushed out with strains of nostalgia while crafting contemporary, of the moment material. You can hear it in the album bookends "Long Was the Year" and "Dead the Long Year," where they blend symphonic, electronic, and pop elements to create epic moments that are utterly their own. More experimental tracks like "Minus One" and "The Tower of Our Tuning" show influence from The BBC Radiophonic Workshop and similar sound effects units. While Broadcast may still have been compared to Stereolab at the time, you can hear the elements of what would set them apart in The Noise Made By People.
