Teens Of Style is Car Seat Headrest's first project for Matador, and it consists of re-recorded songs that Will Toledo worked on, some dating as far back as 2011. The Seattle-by-way-of-Virginia songwriter stared CSH in 2010, and he'd record inside his family's car (this is where the name originates) in the early stages of the project. Since then, he has built a "catalogue of staggering breadth and depth," releasing complex, emotional, and honest numbers (over 10 releases in five years) that really doubled down on his signature DIY indie-rock aesthetic and helped him build a faithful cult following from around the globe. Highlights on Teens of Style include: "Something Soon," "Time to Die," "Sunburned Shirts," "The Drum," "Maud Gone," and "psst, teenagers, take off your clo."
