  • Disco heads pay attention, this is how you do an edit record. Acclaimed digger and Charles Maurice digs in his vaults once again for the hidden disco gems and re-freaks 'em for the floor on the inaugural edition of EDR's Remastered 12" Series. For those unfamiliar with Maurice, he's that mysterious French guy behind two incredible comps on Favorite Recordings - French Disco Boogie Sounds 1975-1984 and AOR Global Sounds 1977-1982 (both very awesome btw). Here he's going for the disco jugular with deep cuts designed for the DJ's and the dancers including an extended version of the tropical disco heater "Trini-Vibes,"  the solid grooves of "Sneaker 54," and the dubbed out "Bio Rhythms." Best of all is the sure shot tribute edit of Made In The USA's "Never Gonna Let You Go," (previously edited by Black Cock aka DJ Harvey in '94 and Theo Parrish in 2002) that's a guaranteed peak-time bomb. Recommended.
