1960s studio album from iconic jazz band leader and bassist Charles Mingus. The Eldridge Session was originally recorded in 1960 during a very fertile period of Mingus' career. This session features the contributions of stars like Roy Eldridge on trumpet, Jimmy Knepper on trombone, Eric Dolphy on alto saxophone, Tommy Flanagan on piano, and Jo Jones on drums. Six tracks in all. Released by Doxy on their Audiophile Clear vinyl.
