Lab Overview

Another exotic masterpiece back on wax courtesy of the excellent Isle Of Jura label. This one was brought to our attention by DJ Harvey who played both tracks on the 12" back to back on his Boiler Room mix. Chayell (aka Peter Bonne) released "Beach" and in 1987, an understated piece of breezy coast line balearica, back with the slightly more New Beat-ish "Tropic." Both tracks sit perfectly in any disco-not-balearic-disco set, and were actually inspired by  A Split-Second's (Bonne's Belgian EBM project) "Drinking Sand." This welcome reissue comes with fully remastered sound and lovely pic sleeve.
