While we're still waiting for Dear Tommy we've got Cherry to keep us warm. One day it will come, Chromatics' follow up to 2012's Kill For Love, but I don't think I can hold my breath any longer. Cherry gives us the title track along with a few reinterpretations of cuts from Kill For Love and some previously unreleased material. The music is moody and dark, channeling Italo disco and late night drives into nothingness. Everything is smoothed over with an everlasting, back-lit glow. They even figure out how to release the tension from Joy Division's "Ceremony." Eight tracks in all. Released by Italians Do It Better on clear vinyl housed in a full color, foil stamped sleeve with a printed inner sleeve.
