Unless your knowledge of 60's French Chanteuses runs deeper than Francoise Hardy and Bridgitte Bardot, chances are you've never heard of Clothilde. With just two 45's from 1967 under her name, Elizabeth Beauvais (aka Clothilde) never really got the shine she deserved outside her native country, but Born Bad Records aims to remedy that. With Queen of the French Swinging Mademoiselles, the French label combines the tracks from both 7" EPs, alongside rare unpublished Italian versions for new lovers of that swingin' sound to enjoy. Take a listen to the sound samples and discover what a natural "Queen" sounds like. 11 tracks total in full pic sleeve. Recommended.
