Second volume of Indian Disco stompers from Cultures Of Soul. Disco hit India in 1979 as it was nearly dead in the west and remained huge thanks to the thriving film industry which featured countless songs that incorporated traditional instruments and modern production techniques. Interestingly their interpretation of Disco continued well into the 80s and spawned some cinematic stompers from classic Bollywood artists like Bappi Lahiri and RD Burman (peace to the gods). The two LP set steers away from the hits and keeps things mostly underground that are begging for western dance floors to finally appreciate their eastern counterparts. Housed in a gatefold jacket with liner notes and artwork.
