  • Timely repress of Darkside's debut EP. The duo of electronic producer and vocalist Nicolas Jaar, and guitarist Dave Harrington first offered up these three tracks in 2011. Released on Jaar's own Clown And Sunset label, all three tracks laid the groundwork for the music that Darkside would go on to produce. Harrington's bluesy guitar work adds a layer of soul to Jaar's emotive electronics. The slow tempo of the opener can be vastly deceiving. It's only until Jaar's doubled up vocals - a deep baritone and short falsetto - drop that you know where you are. The rest of the EP is filled with Jaar's molasses like minimalism and Harrington's tasteful fret work. A real harbinger of what was to come from the duo.
