Dave Blume and Bernard Herrmann's soundtrack contains opposing elements which seem to represent the different characters in the film. The cacophonous noise represents the scum that De Niro's Travis Bickle, represented by the saxophone, is in direct opposition to. New York city comes to life with jazz drums and other sounds. Twenty two tracks in all. Released by Waxwork Records on limited edition 180 gram taxicab yellow marbled double vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve.
