The track was recorded in 1975 and released in shortened single form that same year before getting released in its full-length entirety on the Station To Station album in 1976. Apparently, Bowie was inspired by "On Broadway" when coming up with this tune, lending to its air of funky nostalgia. 40th anniversary pressing, features "Station To Station" on the B-side.
