Lab Overview

Young Americans turns 40! To celebrate it's original release in the spring of '75, Parlophone has given the 2007 Tony Visconti mix of the Bowie classic its first vinyl pressing, on deluxe pic disc no less. This has always been one of my favorites, and like Bowie himself, the track has aged wonderfully. Flipside features another vinyl first with the alternate version of "It's Gonna Be Me" (with strings), an outtake from the 1974 Sigma Sound sessions in Philly.

  • 40th anniversary pic disc pressing
  • remastered sound
  • vinyl debut for the 2007 Tony Visconti single mix and alternate version of "It's Gonna Be Me"
