Limited edition vinyl pressing of David Holmes '71 soundtrack. Holmes captures the stark reality of the war-torn streets of Belfast through 15 intense and somber soundscapes. The pieces were actually written before the film was shot as director Yann Demange prefers to shoot with music already written - an idea possibly inspired by the collaborations by Ennio Morricone and Sergio Leone. The result is a sobering and eerie set of tracks that sits perfectly well with the works of John Carpenter, John Paul Jones, and Tony Conrad.
