Debut studio album from Sweden's Death And Vanilla. The duo's eponymous debut was originally released in 2012 and feels like a direct link back to the psychedelic space lounge sounds of the early 2000s. Marleen Nilsson and Anders Hansson seem to have found a direct link to bands like Stereolab and Broadcast. They have a knack for that unique combination of psych pop and krautrock rhythms. Their's is a gently soothing take on the genre, one that would be great to ease in or out of a nap to. Synths and guitars cascade around you as soft and soothing vocals provide a comforting edge. Put this on the next time it's a little overcast and you don't want to leave the house. Nine tracks in all. Released by Fire Records on yellow translucent vinyl with a download code.
