  • Debut 12" from newcomer Decibel on Tectonic. Seems like there's been some major trend shifts in the dubstep/bass scene and Decibel's self-titled EP reflects the best of them. Gone are the overpowering wobble bass drops in favor of shiny 16-bit synth melodies ("Miss") and smoked-out 808's seem and screwed up rap vox seem to be the order of the day on "G.A.S." Really not mad at it. Also features the shuffling garage riddims of "M.S.T." and the grimy dancehall-juke fusion of "Gyal," easily the most aggressive of the bunch.
