Second 12" offering from Clave House via Tokyo-based producer 外神田deepspace. The use of kanji in a producer's name typically points to some sort of vaporwave project, but we were pleasantly surprised to find an EP chock full of atmospheric, dubbed out techno. On Shinjuku Lights, 外神田deepspace (who also goes by "Aquarium") displays master level technique on five tracks that feel like a trip through the Tokyo underground. Check the vibe on "Shinjuku Blue," then go even deeper with "Shinjuku Lights 05," then cruise to the surface with "Shinjuku Lights 07." Fans of Basic Channel, Chain Reaction, Rhythm & Sound, Shinichi Atobe, etc. should definitely check. Recommended.
