This deluxe boxset includes the full album on 2LP plus an additional 2LP (the elusive Black Stallion) featuring remixes of each of the album's tracks by the band's contemporaries (Mike Shinoda, Trevor Jackson), influences (DJ Shadow, Robert Smith) and arguably their musical descendants (Purity Ring, Clams Casino, Phantogram). With the release of White Pony the Deftones' sound had matured, incorporating new wave, dream pop, trip hop, and shoegaze with their already well developed alternative metal. It was their most daring effort, and fans and critics embraced the album for its experimentalism and creativity.
