  • With the inclusion of "Under Your Spell" on the Drive soundtrack, it's no better time to revisit this this excellent 2009 full length from producer Johnny Jewel. Desire is a group out of Montreal, making their debut (despite the title of the album) via Italians Do It Better, and their sound is almost like what might happen if 80s Fleetwood Mac and Tears For Fears had a goth baby. IDIB have never been known to release crazy dancefloor bangers, but even so, this one is definitely a more mellow entry in their catalog of dreamy disco. Check out "Montre Moi Ton Visage," "Miroir Miroir," "Don't Call," "Dans Mes Reves," and "Under Your Spell" for a few examples of what I'm talking about. It might not shake any asses, but this is exactly the album you want to have on if you're making out with a character from The Breakfast Club. Recommended.

    • translucent dark pink colored vinyl
    • includes printed insert
    • limited edition
    • original release year: 2009
    • music label: Italians Do It Better 2025
