Seventh studio album from Amherst's favorite slackers Dinosaur Jr. Hand It Over was originally recorded in 1997 and was J Mascis' last album of the 1990s under the Dinosaur Jr. name. His trademark lethargic vocals and searing guitar are all over the album, but he seems to be trying some new things as well. Mascis seems to be trying to figure out what's next after the commercial success of albums like Where You Been and Without a Sound. There's new instrumentation like the mellotron and harmonies of "Never Bought It," the strings on "Can't We Move This," and the flanged synths of "Nothin's Goin' On." Twelve tracks in all. Released by Vinyl 180 on 180 gram vinyl housed in a full color sleeve.
