Lab Overview

Groundbreaking session from Don Cherry and Latif Khan reissued. Music/Sangram was the first ever meeting between avant jazz genius Don Cherry and Indian percussionist Latif Khan, recorded in Paris in 1978. Together, the duo created an incredible fusion of jazz and Indian music, previously only released in Europe on Europa Records in 1982. Thankfully, Japan's Heavenly Sweetness imprint has stepped in and gives this exceptional recording the proper reissue it deserves. This is actually the second pressing of the 2009 Heavenly Sweetness reissue, this time remastered for an optimal listening experience. Recommended.
