  • This was the first LP released on Greensleeves, and it couldn't get much more classic than this. It's basically a showcase for Dr. Alimantado, compiling his biggest hits with all the top producers of the mid 70's. The entire album is very solid with Alimantado bringing a unique vocal deejay style into form with Upsetter, King Tubby, Maxie, Phillip Smart and Pat Kelly behind the boards. Classic tunes on here like "Plead I Cause," "Unitone Skank," "Gimme Mi Gun," "I Killed the Barber" and the 200 ton skank of "Best Dressed Chicken in Town," produced with genius by the one and only Upsetter. All the rhythms are heavy and dubbed up in the best tradition of the mid seventies masters. One of my favorites always and what the hell is up with that cover?
