DJ Edward Currelly aka Eddie C says in the Shore was inspired by life in Berlin, the city where he currently resides in (he is of Canadian descent). He expresses the emotions through repetitive rhythm and melody: sublime synths, pulsing basslines, drum loops and samples create spacey, blissed-out, and bittersweet moments. Check out “On the Road,” a funky, jazz-tinged head nodder, or the dub-influenced “Mistaya,” which is lead by a hypnotic flute melody. “Beyond Melody” picks up the tempo a bit and tip-toes into deep house territories (a super chilled-out one at that), and “Boipeba Prai” is a cosmic disco heater just as fit for the dancefloor as your headphones. Other highlights include: “Fenyek,” “Klutter,” and “Auf Der Ufer.” This is the double vinyl pressing of the album, which includes a 7” promo of “Errata” and “96 Bonus Beats.”
