  • Edson Frederico E A Transa is the first and only solo album from jazz pianist Edson Frederico, originally released in 1975. A breezy Brazilian jazz-funk affair, Frederico's Fender Rhodes glide over light-handed percussion & ensemble chorus-style vocals, with arrangements by Luiz Eca and Durval Ferreira as well as "some of the warm fusion phrasing of the mid '70s Brazilian scene" filling out the 12-tracker. It's a hard-to-find record (og pressings trade for a lot of money), and all the cuts are full of that lush warmth characteristic of the best Brazilian music of the '70s. Includes the breakbeat/samba classic "Bobeira," also check out: "Ligia," "Tema De Heloisa," "O Gas," "Sambane," and "Tava Mais Nao Tava." Limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on transparent red 180g vinyl
