The latest installment of Fat Beats Records' Baker's Dozen features Ontario's Elaquent, who states: "at the end of the day, it starts with a melody or sample, and I kinda just let the vibe take over." Building melodic, moving productions full of interesting layers and a loose, laid-back grooves, E curates an eloquent, cohesive feel on this project, and the beats flow from one to the next with such ease. Highlights include: "Brotherly Love," "Hard Times," "Gotta Put Me On," and "That One Time," but trust, this is a record that should be played from beginning to end, just put in on and let the vibes rock.
