Lab Overview

Third and final single from Equip's Cursebreaker 7" series! Shadow Dancer is another masterclass in original vaporwave video game music; an imaginary score to the penultimate battle leading up to the final boss fight. "The mythical Lightbringer sword is within reach- but it’s shadow guardian won’t let it go that easily." Once again, Chicago's Kevin Hein seamlessly runs moody synth compositions through the retro video game filter for nostalgic vibes galore. Like previous installments in the series, it is deeply indebted to 16-bit era RPG OST's, but in the best way possible. 100% Electronica label boss ESPRIT空想 (aka George Clanton) is on the remix, adding a downtempo breakbeat that's perfect for the chill-out room. Flipside features all exclusive vinyl cuts "CRYPT M Y S T," "NOCTURNAL MAW," and "ETERNAL P U N I S H M E N T" that takes us deeper into the realm of the forthcoming full length, CURSEBREAKER X. This limited physical edition comes on shadow purple 7" vinyl complete with an exclusive vinyl-only B-side not released digitally. Only 300 pressed!
