  • Fifth studio album from shoegazey dream poppers Film School. Bright To Death was recorded over eight days in Joshua Tree. It seems the band could not have found a better location to record this batch of sun drenched psychedelia. They take cues from the shoegaze of Slowdive on songs like "Two in Sun," and then give us a little of The Cure with "The Celebration." "Go Low" feels like a contemporary take on the smoother side of 60s psychedelic rock. But whatever the inspiration the songs feel uniquely like Film School. Soft vocal tones, light synth drones and driving bass lines pervade the album, providing for a consistently satisfying listen. Eleven tracks in all. Released by Hauskat Records on limited edition translucent yellow vinyl housed in a full color sleeve with a digital download.

    • limited to 400 copies
    • translucent yellow vinyl pressing
    • digital download included
