Caned by Ron Hardy at the Music Box and Larry Levan at the Garage, sampled by Chubb Rock for “Treat ‘Em Right” and Jungle Brothers for “What U Waitin’ 4?”… any excuse to repress this Salsoul flamethrower is good enough for us. This time it’s a new mix by Kon (of Kon & Amir) that’s respectfully restrained; more than just an edit, Kon makes good use of the original stems (years of hard work must have earned him friends in high places at Salsoul) and rolls out a stripped-down mix emphasizing that rubbery bassline and world-class beat. Flip it over for the original mix. Also includes acapella and instrumental versions of the original so cop doubles.
- includes original version, instrumental, acapella + Kon's Kon-Certo remix
- music label: Salsoul Records 2016
