Mid-career studio album from France's Françoise Hardy. Et Si Je M'en Vais Avant Toi was originally released in 1972 and was a departure from Hardy's typical style. Country and west coast style rock took the place of the usual smokey intimacy. It was a divisive move by Hardy that had some critics scratching their heads. However the result is quite enjoyable. Give songs like "Carfard," and "Bowm Bowm Bowm" some time to settle in and you'll be more than satisfied. Twelve tracks in all. Released by Parlophone on 180 gram vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve.
