  • Crucial repress of highly-collectable Greensleeves 12” inna import style! Two tunes on separate riddims produced by the great Linval Thompson, backed by the Roots Radics and mixed by Scientist. A side finds 70s Studio One vet Freddie McKay laying down his minted rocksteady croon in a cool, rub-a-dub dancehall style with “Another Weekend.” The hook is eerily similar to Ariel Pink’s tune of the same name (might even be in the same key??); first DJ to mix ‘em up gets free Lab stickers. Flip side’s got Earl Sixteen’s “Live Together,” straight-up stripped-down dubwise late nite coolness. As per usual, both tunes are stretched out the entire length of the side with dub versions on the back end, so it’s basically 4 tracks on one plate. This was a coveted Euro-only RSD release, and the original pressing is currently trading for more than a c-note, so grip it while you can. Recommended.
