2015 debut from post-vaporwaver George Clanton under his government name, following influential vapor scene projects under a slew of guises including but not limited to Esprit 空想, Mirror Kisses and Kid's Garden. Taking its name from Clanton's then-burgeoning bedroom label (it's since turned into a DIY powerhouse), the album filters 80s new romantic and 90s TRL rock through a vaporwave filter with oddly satisfying results. 2018's Slide pushed the audio JNCO aesthetic even further, but this one's full of the wide-eyed wonder and confidence that comes from writing full songs after a few years spent pitching down samples. Personally, I love this record. I serendipitously came across "Warmspot" early last year and have listened to it pretty much every day since. 5th anniversary deluxe edition with tons of bonus material, gatefold and liner notes, recommended.
