H-Town's answer to Straight Outta Compton. Originally released back in 1990, The Geto Boys eponymous full length features remixes of tracks from their previous album, 1989's Grip It! On That Other Level along with a couple new joints exclusive to this release. Remixing here was done under the guidance of Def Jam guru Rick Rubin(!) so obviously the beats bang tough throughout. Bushwick Bill, Scarface, and Willie D never sounded so rough. This came out during the peak of gangster rap controversy so original pressings suffered limited distribution, so grab this legit repress while it lasts.
