Giraffage (aka Charlie Yin) has come a long way from flipping Janet Jackson songs on their head. The Bay Area producer has eschewed his tendencies toward sample based songs in favor of producing tracks from the ground up. Sure, we may catch a vocal sample here and there, but the sounds are from the heart of Mr. Yin. And we should be thanking the dude. His expertly crafted electro pop jams are looking like they just may be the soundtrack to your summer. Tracks like "Tell Me" and "Anxiety" are easy to take in casually, but could set off a dance party at the same time. There's an air of familiarity around Yin's music that can be hard to shake, and that's what makes it so enjoyable.
