  • Masterpiece soundtrack from Italy's Goblin. Released for the 1977 film of the same name, Suspiria is Goblin's most direct and focused work. Directed by none other than frequent collaborator and celebrated horror film director Dario Argento, who once again worked with prog masters Goblin to put the finishing touches on the film. Suspenseful, at times menacing, and down right funky the album stands apart from their previous works and is truly a center piece to their turbulent production. While the album is often darker in nature, it still works very well on its own apart from the film. Baroque tendencies are found throughout the score with glimpses of light shining in every so often to liven things up. Limited edition 'blue iris' colored vinyl, housed in gatefold sleeve with printed insert. Recommended.
