The return of Brooklyn mystery duo by way of Chicago, Detroit, and Dusseldorf. Goitia Deitz have been making hybrid sounds in their Brooklyn studio for a few years now. With a pair of incredible 7"s under their belt championed by the likes of Stones Throw Records, Rough Trade Records, & more their latest sees a new home, Cut Mistake Music, releasing a long playing EP of more improvised Proto House, Kraut Jams. Dream Meridian opens up with "Drive Air" that sounds something like if John Carpenter made a film about speed boats or BMX bikes. With it's four on the floor kick driven by washy synth leads and chord progression that could lead you into the night, this is banger number one. "Flux", banger numero dos, is an in your face Factory Floor-esque Techno number that could be heard at Berghain or Fact Mag's offices. The flipside changes direction and this is where GD truly shine. "Speaking In Code", "The Beach", and "In Tongues" offer beautiful Kosmische / Kraut / Balearic sounds that no one has come close to since the first Harmonia album. We can't recommend this enough. DO IT.
