Lab Overview

Balearic gems from Grace Jones compiled by the good folks at Sunkissed Records! Sunkissed has been killing it with these Balearic Sound comps (this follows best selling volumes from Sade, Simply Red, and Fleetwood Mac) and here we have one of the best yet. You already know Ms. Jones gets the dancefloor movin' and shakin' with classic joints like "Pull Up To The Bumper" (available here in the essential Larry Levan Mix) and "Nipple To The Bottle," but Sunkissed digs deeper to reveal some more sides you might've missed. "Feel Up" rides a similar tropical dance vibe as the previously mentioned cuts, but "La Vie En Rose" is the crown jewel of the EP. The track was edited and released by Mark E not too long ago, but here is the full 12" Tom Moulton mix in all its glory. Can't front on the beautiful vibe this track creates. Recommended.
