For those unfamiliar, Heavy Disco is the alias for veteran UK DJ/Producer extraordinaire Ashley Beedle (of Black Science Orchestra/X-Press 2 fame) and DJ Dave Jarvis. Together the duo has been killing it on the edit tip for some time now, reconstructing everything from big time rock anthems, to soul classics, 80's hits, and overlooked disco. Their debut CD The Trials & Tribulations of Heavy Disco compiles many of their past 12"s (see the Modern Artifacts label) and includes a few new surprises as well Basically if you were sleepin' on Heavy Disco, this comp is a god send! Every edit on here is a monster, with entries from Prince, Kate Bush, Stevie Wonder, and many more. Highly Recommended.
