Lab Overview

It's a meeting of the jazz funk masters on wax. Herbie Hancock teams up with legendary Weather Report bassist Jaco Pastorius to lay down some masterful fusion on this incredible live document, recorded at Chicago's Ivanhoe Theater on February 16, 1977. The duo, along with Bennie Maupin (tenor sax, bass clarinet) and James Levi (drums), kick it off with a stellar version of the Headhunters' favorite "Chameleon," then get into some classic Herbie material with "Maiden Voyage," and Maupin's amazing "It Remains to Be Seen." Presented on 180 gram vinyl with digitally remastered sound.
