Strictly for the freaks! Two underground disco monsters from Harlem's legendary Queen Constance label get the official re-work treatment from top editors in the game. Both High Voltage and Chain Reaction were two of several acts that operated under the P&P umbrella of labels (including Sound Of NY, Land Of Hits, etc.) that churned out dance floor burners that remain in-demand to this day. This 12" pairs two of the bands' most-sought after tracks, and tastefully updates them for modern sensibilities. First up, veteran disco digger/producer extraordinaire Kon gives High Voltage's "Rock, Spank, Freak" his signature touch, subtly bumping up the drums and bass for maximum dancefloor impact. On the flip, Moplen gives Chain Reaction's "Dance Freak" a respectful re-work to keep the party jumpin' till way past last call. Recommended.
