This is the result of over 25 years of digging and two years of curation. Nick V compiles the iconic dance sounds of the Italian Riviera, and the DJ-friendly 45 RPM vinyl-only release is a homage to the forgotten gems of the Adriatic coast's house music scene. In the '90s, Italy was home to one of the most fertile and flourishing scenes in the blossoming world of house music. Although rooted in what was happening in the US, the music of the Italian Riviera took on a specific feel and aesthetic, with a very different (even from Italo-disco & Italo house), emotional sound emerging. This record is a survey of music that came out between 1991-1993 and covers the entire spectrum of the Riviera. Check out dubbier cuts by Syncopate and Underground Ghosts, or get steeped in the deepeness with selections from Subway Ground Master, Centric House, Groove Sense, and Optik. Double gatefold sleeve with liner notes by Nick V and by flyers and photos from the original Riviera days.
