It's about time the ladies got a chance to shine. After two wildly popular compilations of 70's blue-eyed soul (Too Slow To Disco 1 & 2), How Do You Are? redresses the gender balance with a full volume dedicated to those with the double X chromosomes. Like the previous volumes, Berlin's DJ Supermarkt and Mellow Mafia compile an expert selection of smooth pop, yacht rock, and mellow AM vibes for those that enjoy life in the slow lane - but this time, it's all woman. You may recognize a name or two from the tracklist (perhaps Carly, Carole, or Rickie?), but they really dig deep to offer up plenty of pop acts that were unjustly overlooked by time. So many gems to dig into, but here's some standouts to whet your appetite - Renee Geyer's beautiful "Be There In The Morning," Carly Simon's "Tranquilo," Amy Holland's "Strengthen My Love," Franne Golde's "Isn't It Something," and Lyn Christopher's "Take Me With You." Double 180 gram pressing with gatefold sleeve and download card. Recommended.
