1973's Raw Power is considered a very influential record to the sound of punk rock to come. Along with Iggy And The Stooges' previous full length (Fun House from 1970), Raw Power is aggressive and rough around the edges, with an obvious proto-punk vibe especially on songs like "Shake Appeal," "Death Trip," Search And Destroy," and the title track. The album has gained a cult following through the years despite poor sales upon original release, proving that perhaps Iggy And The Stooges were simply ahead of their time.
