  • Turn It up! More Dilla heat unearthed and another glimpse of the forthcoming "long lost" album, The Diary. As the story goes, in 2002 Dilla was planning to record an album with some of his favorite producers, including one Supa Dave West (best known for his work with De La Soul). The tracks contained on this 12" are from those very sessions, with "Give Them What They Want" showcasing Dilla on both production AND mic duties. Next up is "The Doe" which is built around the same lyrics, but with Supa Dave West handling the beats. Also included are instrumentals for both, plus one more vocal cut - "No One's Home" which might be familiar to deep Dilla heads via MP3 bootlegs, but this is the first time mastered to wax. Pressed up on limited edition clear wax with full pic sleeve featuring awesome photography from James & Karla Murray. Recommended.
