Jesus and Mary Chain's debut album from 1995 has always been hard to find on vinyl, but thanks to the surprising success of Lost In Translation, we get this glorious 180g reissue. Lost In Translation introduced the uninitiated to the beauty of "Just Like Honey," but that's only the opening track here. There's fourteen cuts of mega-fuzz guitar rock and shoegazing wonder. Who cares if you can't really draw lyrical meaning out of it? Just let the fuzz take you away. My personal faves: "Never Understand," "My Little Underground," "Cut Dead", and "The Living End". Recommended.
